Advanced Coastal Course

‘Jump-start’ your cruising career and prepare for the Caribbean with the Advanced Coastal Course, a terrific complement to your Learn to Sail training.  This complete 3-day, 2-night live aboard course offers practical cruising experience aboard a 34-36’ yacht (some 2 tons heavier than a 30’ yacht) including stowage, course planning, log entries, GPS use, docking or anchoring overnight, heavy weather drills, more delicate docking, specialized anchoring techniques, precision steering and better sail control.

Successful completion prepares you to:

• Skipper 36’ yachts in moderate conditions, in coastal waters.
• Crew on similar sized yachts in open water and more challenging conditions.

Good to know:

• Four-to-one student-to-instructor ratio
• Includes all meals from lunch on day one, to lunch on day 3 - please let us know if you must observe   any dietary restrictions.
• It is required that students taking this course meet the following criteria:
       Successfully complete the Learn to Sail Course.
